The cast of “Dancing With the Stars: Athletes” have been revealed, with sports stars, including NBA great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and figure skaters Tonya Harding and Adam Rippon, joining the reality competition’s first-ever sports-themed season.
The cast announcement was made during Friday morning’s edition of “Good Morning America”, with the show welcoming 10 superstar athletes who will be tripping the light fantastic as they compete for the Mirrorball trophy.

Controversial figure skater and subject of Oscar-nominated biopic “I, Tonya” Tonya Harding, paired with Sasha Farber.
Basketball legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, dancing with Lindsay Arnold.
Figure skater Adam Rippon, who will be competing with dancer Jenna Johnson.
Softball star Jennie Finch Daigle, who will be partnered with Keo Motsepe.
Notre Dame women’s basketball phenom Arike Ogunbowale, paired with dancer Gleb Savchenko.
Olympic luge sensation Chris Mazdzer, paired with Witney Carson.
Snowboarder Jamie Anderson, who will be dancing with Artem Chigvintsev.
MLB star Johnny Damon, dancing with Emma Slater.
Olympic figure skater Mirai Nagasu, paired with Alan Bersten.
Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman, paired with Sharna Burgess.
Tom Bergeron will return to host, as will judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
