Mason Ramsey, an 11-year-old Illinois-native, is riding his momentum as a viral sensation straight to Coachella 2018.
Affectionally dubbed Yodeling Boy, Ramsey first caught the attention of the masses after singing Hank Williams’ “Lovesick Blues” in a Walmart. His trademark bow tie and cowboy boots were icing on the cake.
Since then, Yodeling Boy has appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and even headlined a huge concert in a Walmart parking lot.
On Friday, he made a surprise guest appearance during Chicago dance producer Whethan’s set at Coachella’s Sahara Tent. Meanwhile, Canadian superstar Justin Bieber was watching from the crowd and he loved every moment of it.
Numerous acts at Coachella were hoping to introduce Ramsey during their set, including Post Malone, reports Stereo Gum. Due to scheduling conflicts, however, Yodeling Boy was ultimately paired with Whethan.
Friday marks the first night of Coachella 2018’s week one run with headliner The Weeknd.
