The Canadian indie rock band gave fans at SSE Arena a night to remember, inviting Florence Welch of Florence + The Machine to perform “Dog Days Are Over”.

The unexpected performance was likely a dream come true for Welch, who has raved about Arcade Fire in the past. “I love Arcade Fire so much, ever since ‘Funeral’,” she said in 2011. “I’d love to collaborate with them. I met Win [Butler] and I was so starstruck, I cried. It was so embarrassing…”

And Butler and the band had even more in store for their London finale. The city’s own Boy George appeared during the band’s encore to perform Culture Club’s “Karma Chameleon”.
