First Look At Kellie Pickler’s New ‘Docu-Comedy’ Series ‘I Love Kellie Pickler’

By Brent Furdyk.

Not quite a reality show, not quite a sitcom, Kellie Pickler’s new “docu-comedy” series for CMT is coming in November, and today brings a first look at I Love Kellie Picker.

Whether the title’s similarity to the iconic I Love Lucy is intentional or not, I Love Kellie Pickler showcases the country singer’s wackier side, which viewers first fell in love with when she was a contestant on American Idol.

“When my husband [musician/songwriter Kyle Jacobs] co-wrote a song titled ‘Ain’t No Cure for Crazy’ and said it was meant for just me, I had to wonder,” says Kellie. “We know how crazy our life is with both of us being in the entertainment business and all that it entails while trying to maintain a somewhat ‘normal’ marriage. It’ll be fun to let the rest of the world see into that window of our life.”

“Kellie and I have been together almost eight years now, and we have written songs together and worked in the studio together but this is a whole new, crazy experience,” says Kyle of the TV show. “I hope the cameras were able to capture how much we love each other, how much we love living life with our friends… that’s who we are and what we want our viewers to experience with us.”

Exec producer Ryan Seacrest, who first got to know Kellie when she was an Idol contestant, added: “Since her days on American Idol, Kellie has captured the hearts of many with her pretty smiles, good humour and spirited personality. Like Kellie herself, this new show has lots of heart.”
