Vince Staples didn’t hold back as he ranted about R. Kelly during a chat with Everyday Struggle‘s Nadeska Alexis at Coachella over the weekend.
Staples, 24, took aim at R. Kelly, 51, while talking about how gangsta rappers are the only black entertainers to get thrown in jail.
The rapper insisted, “R. Kelly never went to jail and he’s a f**king child molester. But I’m just saying, he’s a child molester, and he pees on people, and he can’t read and write, and he didn’t go to jail.
“I’m a good person. R. Kelly’s a piece of f**king s**t. So, [if] piece of f**king s**t R. Kelly didn’t go to jail for being a child molester and peeing on people and having a human trafficking ring in Atlanta, then I’ll be all right.”
As Alexis then joked she might get fired if Staples didn’t keep quiet about R. Kelly, the MC quipped: “They shoulda booked R. Kelly if they like R. Kelly so much. He would’ve p**sed on somebody in the crowd because he pees on children.”
Much of Kelly’s career has been overshadowed by his behaviour beyond the studio. He has faced numerous sexual assault allegations, starting in 1994 with his most famous indiscretion, when he married underage singer Aaliyah. At the time, she was 15 years old and he was 27. The marriage was annulled shortly afterward.
In 2008, Kelly was acquitted of child pornography charges after a video circulated allegedly showing him having sexual intercourse and urinating on a 14-year-old girl. Additionally, he’s agreed to several out-of-court settlements with women who have accused him of sexual assault, one as young as 15.
More recently, it was suggested the “Ignition” hitmaker had been holding women against their will and running an abusive sex cult.
