With over 93 acting credits and an Academy Award to his name, Nicolas Cage says he’s going to stop acting in the next few years.
But fans need not worry about the actor disappearing from Hollywood entirely, just yet – Cage says he has a post-acting plan in mind.
“Right now, I’m primarily a film performer and I’m gonna continue doing that for three or four more years and I’d like to focus more on directing,” he tells The Blast.
The “Con Air” and “Adaptation” star was in Puerto Rico to promote his latest movie, “Primal”. In the action film, Cage plays a big game hunter who has booked passage on a shipping freighter along with a cargo hold of exotic and dangerous animals, including a rare white jaguar along with a political assassin who is being extradited into the U.S. in secret. In the middle of their sea voyage, the assassin releases the animals and unleashes chaos on the high seas.
It’s no wonder Cage is thinking about retirement – he appeared in 10 movies between 2016 and 2017.
