Lili Reinhart wants to keep her love life to herself, plain and simple.
The “Riverdale” star opened up to Seventeen about her rumoured romance with co-star Cole Sprouse and why she refuses to publicize her relationship status.
“Every time someone asks me about it, I make a decision then and there about whether I’m comfortable,” she told the magazine. “It’s not like I’m in some kind of contract, but I’m not in the place where I want to talk about it, and that’s totally fine. It’s called a private life for a reason — it’s mine, and it’s special and sacred.”
“My relationships are between me and whomever I’m with, not between me and the world.”
Reinhart, 21, and Sprouse, 25, first sparked dating rumours in May 2017 when the latter posted a photo of the actress lying on a flower bed.
When asked about the status of their relationship in November 2017, Sprouse also refused to answer.
“Whether you dismiss those rumours or whether you encourage those rumours, it’s giving people who are in my opinion are a bit entitled to your personal life more power,” he told People. “And you have to have spaces for reverence in the industry.”
The second season of “Riverdale” wraps up May 16; the show was renewed for a third season earlier this month.
