Tiffany Haddish appears on the cover of W magazine’s latest issue, in which the comedian got candid in the publication’s popular series on YouTube.

During her “Screen Test” interview above, the 38-year-old actress reveals what makes her laugh, the audition process for her breakout role in “Girls Trip” and why she will continue to wear that white Alexander McQueen dress.

“I hired a stylist; I told her I don’t have a lot of money for clothes, but I wanna look nice on the red carpet,” Tiffany recalls. “She said, ‘Girl, if you’re trying to make it to the next level in your career, you gonna have to spend a little money.'”

She explains that the stylist brought multiple options for her to try on but none of the other dresses fit. So she rocked the Alexander McQueen, only to be given a receipt for $4,122.

“I cried,” she admits. “So I’m wearing this dress multiple f**king times. I don’t give — I don’t care what nobody say! That’s a lot of money to spend. That’s a down payment on a car, you know, that’s a whole medical bill…that’s just way too much money to spend on clothes. And when you’re somebody like me who’s been homeless — really clothes are not that important to me.”
