Scott Baio has found support from his former co-star Josie Davis as actress Nicole Eggert accuses the actor of inappropriate sexual behaviour during their time together on the sitcom “Charles In Charge.”
Eggert, 46, who has accused Baio of sexually abusing her when she was 14, went on a Twitter tirade on Wednesday, where, according to TMZ, she claimed Baio had forced Davis to remove her pants when she was 13.
“Ask Scott Baio why he demanded Josie Davis pull her pants down when she was 13…” Eggert said, in a tweet which has since been deleted.
Davis, 45, apparently heard about the tweet in question and took to social media herself on Thursday to deny the claim, calling Eggert’s comments “completely false.”
Baio’s representative, Brian Glicklich, later tweeted his own response to Eggert’s allegations, writing that Baio is “profoundly grateful” for Davis’s “integrity and decency.”
The latest controversy comes amid a string of accusations against Baio from his former co-stars, including Alexander Polinsky, who in February claimed that Baio had assaulted him between the ages of 12 and 15 years old.
Baio has denied all the accusations.
