Benedict Cumberbatch was sworn to secrecy about plot details when he starred as the villain in “Star Trek Into Darkness”, but he made an exception with the one person who “deserved to know”: Stephen Hawking.

Appearing on “The Graham Norton Show” the 41-year-old actor told the host about getting to hang out with the renowned physicist who passed away in March.
“We were into our third margarita, I think, and I decided to tell him,” Cumberbatch said of revealing to Hawking the true identity of his character in the 2013 film.
Norton asked whether Hawking then spoiled it for anyone else. “Not as far as I’m aware,” Cumberbatch said.
