Prince Charles joked he’s going to struggle to keep up with his grandchildren after Kate Middleton gave birth to royal baby number 3 Monday morning.
Charles, 69, who is heir to the throne, spoke about the exciting news one day after Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, introduced the adorable newborn to the world.
In a statement issued by Clarence House, the Prince of Wales shared:
Charles’ comments come after Middleton and William looked incredibly proud as they were pictured with their new arrival on the steps of the Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Despite giving birth just seven hours before she left the hospital, Middleton looked as stunning as ever as she posed for photographers in a red dress with a white collar by Jenny Packham.
Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, were snapped visiting their baby brother after school on Monday afternoon, with Charlotte sparking an online meltdown as she perfected the royal wave for photographers.
The royal baby’s arrival now means that Prince Harry, 33, drops to sixth place in succession to the throne.
Since the birth, the world has come together to offer their congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
It was also announced that London’s Westminster Abbey would ring its bell a full peal of Cambridge Surprise Royal.
