Deadpool Endorses Booze Brand – And It’s Not Ryan Reynolds’ Gin Company

He may play Deadpool on the big screen, but Ryan Reynolds’ alter-ego is throwing his weight behind an alcohol company. And it’s not the Reynolds-owned Aviation American Gin.

The Marvel anti-hero has signed on as “Creative Director for Culture ‘n’ Stuff” for Epsolon, a Mexican-based tequila.

“I needed the money,” Deadpool explains via press release. Deadpool is well-aware of Reynolds’ stake in the gin company and chose to thumb his nose at the actor’s off-screen endeavours.

“There is absolutely no reason why that Canadian gobstopper is getting all the glory. I’m a legit superhero. He’s just some guy who’s famous thanks to those two girls and that pizza place,” he quips, including a backhanded reference to Reynolds’ later 1990s sitcom “Two Guys, A Girl And A Pizza Place”.
