Harvey Weinstein’s highly publicized sex scandal is getting the Hollywood treatment.
Motion pictures company Annapurna and production house Plan B are planning a “Spotlight”-style movie based on the exposés and allegations of sexual misconduct against Weinstein.
The producers have acquired the rights to the story of how newspaper staffers and editors pieced together the story that brought down Weinstein’s Hollywood empire, according to Deadline.
The movie will not focus on Weinstein himself but will instead tackle what it took to bring the accusations against him into the public eye.
By October 31, 2017, over 80 women had made allegations against Weinstein.
