Benedict Cumberbatch Left Terrified After ‘Ellen’ Prank, Reveals How He Got His Hands On Top Secret ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Script

Benedict Cumberbatch became the victim of one of Ellen DeGeneres’ pranks Friday as she scared him with an actor who was dressed up as Iron Man on the show.

Cumberbatch, 41, had been chatting about his new series “Patrick Melrose” and his latest movie “Avengers: Infinity War” when the character in question popped out of a box next to him.

The “Doctor Strange” star screamed, “F**k off! I am still alive, this isn’t heaven? Although it’d be nice to be in heaven with you. Honestly now you’ve got me on a real high alert.”

Friday’s appearance also saw Cumberbatch talk about being among such a star-studded cast in the latest “Avengers” movie, with him admitting: “It was weird, fantastic, daunting.”

DeGeneres then quizzed him on how he got his hands on such a top-secret script, which none of the other actors got to see. Cumberbatch revealed: “It invoked a bit of jealousy, I did read the script, yeah.

“It was a hard copy that was chained to a person who was then taken back on some kind of police transport.”
