“Stranger Things” fans will be thrilled to hear the cast are back and season 3 production has officially begun.
Netflix confirmed the news Friday, with the streaming site giving viewers a sneak peek of what’s to come by taking them behind the scenes in a new vid.
The short clip shows the cast, including Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, and Finn Wolfhard, coming back together for the first table read of the season.
The vid also teases some of Hawkins’ newest additions, including Maya Hawke, Cary Elwes, and Jake Busey.
Despite the actors and actresses’ names appearing on placards, the only character to actually speak in the mysterious clip is Priah Ferguson, who played Lucas’ sister in season 2, with her telling the camera: “Get out of here, nerds!”
The video comes after producer Shawn Levy talked about the eagerly anticipated series at PaleyFest 2018.
He told fans, “Season 3 has legitimately creepy moments and events, but it’s incredibly warm and character-based because at the end of the day, I think that’s what people love most about ‘Stranger Things’.”
The producers also revealed that the new season will jump roughly a year forward in time to the summer of 1985, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
