Rihanna discusses everything from body shaming to freezing her eggs during a brand new chat with Vogue.
Despite still being incredibly busy, the 30-year-old, who recently announced she’d be launching her very own lingerie line, Savage x Fenty, says she now makes more of an effort to have a better work-life balance.
The musician, who has been romantically linked to Saudi businessman Hassan Jameel, looks as stunning as ever in her latest Vogue cover, with her opening up about her love life in the accompanying interview.
Rihanna explains, without naming any names: “I used to feel guilty about taking personal time, but I also think I never met someone who was worth it before.”
Of trying to take better care of herself she says, “Even mentally, just to be away from my phone, to be in the moment, that has been key for my growth. Now, when I come to work, I’m all in. Because before you know it, the years will go by. I’m glad I’m taking the time. I’m happy.”
Talk then turns to getting older, with RiRi asking whether she should start thinking about planning ahead when it comes to starting a family.
The star questions, “Okay, so now that I’m 30, are there things I’m supposed to do? Should I be worried? Should I be freezing my eggs? What do you do at 30?!”
“I’m not gonna be able to take my eyes off my kid. I know that already about myself. They’re going to have to force me to hire a nanny.”
The “Umbrella” hitmaker’s candid chat also sees her discuss body shaming, admitting there are times when she has a “fat day,” but there are also moments when she knows she’s lost weight.
“I’m not built like a Victoria’s Secret girl, and I still feel very beautiful and confident in my lingerie.”
Not ending the interview there, she also speaks about the moment Drake professed his love for her while presenting her with the Video Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV VMAs.
The Canadian declared that he’d been in love with Rihanna since he was 22-years-old before going in for a kiss, however, she swerved, avoiding the on-stage PDA.
Admitting that receiving the award was a “big deal,” RiRi adds: “Waiting through that speech was probably the most uncomfortable part. I don’t like too many compliments; I don’t like to be put on blast.”
“We don’t have a friendship now, but we’re not enemies either. It is what it is,” she says of their current relationship.
