Steve Martin And Martin Short Play The Best Friends Challenge On ‘The Tonight Show’

Comedy icons Steve Martin and Martin Short dropped by “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” to promote their new Netflix special and ended up having their friendship put to the test.

In what Fallon refers to as the late night show’s version of “The Newlywed Game,” the two comedians had to guess what each other would answer for various questions relating to themselves. Those included such delights as “If Martin won the lottery, what would he buy?” and “If Steve could be any liquid, what liquid would he be?”

The best answer came when the pair were asked what the most embarrassing thing Steve has ever done, which involves a case of mistaken identity and Barry Manilow.

Martin and Short took to the game with their usual over-the-top showmanship, cracking jokes and tearing out the pages of their notebooks in dramatic fashion.

Elsewhere on the show, Martin talked about getting great advice from Oprah Winfrey about supporting Short, and less great advice from Tonya Harding’s mom.
