UPDATE: Friday, October 16 (12:48 p.m.) – On Thursday, ET Canada offered up the premiere of Simple Plan’s brand new video. Now it’s time to showcase some outtakes featuring the promo’s guest of honour.
That’s right, extra slices of David Hasselhoff cameo goodness have been placed on display for the world to see. The Hoff engages in a bit of comedy, gives a nod to Knight Rider and provides a playful dig at the band’s Baywatch physiques in this bonus footage.
Check out the Hasselhoff outtakes below and scroll further down if you haven’t caught Simple Plan’s Nelly-aided “I Don’t Wanna Go To Bed”; video yet.
Simple Plan is back and this time they’re bringing a TV icon along for the ride.
“We’re trying to recreate the TV show, Baywatch,”; lead singer Pierre Bouvier tells ET Canada from the Colborne, Ontario set of the band’s new video, “I Don’t Wanna Go to Bed”;.
And of course you can’t have a Baywatch-themed video without enlisting the services of “The Hoff.”;
“Getting David Hasselhoff to actually be in it, that is the most epic thing ever,”; says Bouvier. “When I heard that he agreed to do it, I was blown away and so excited.”;
Also getting in on the action is hip hop singer/rapper Nelly, who’s featured on the track.
“It’s fun to collaborate with different artists of different genres on our stuff,”; says guitarist Sébastien Lefebvre. “To get Nelly on there really put a cool flavour on the song.”;
“I Don’t Wanna Go to Bed”; is the debut single from the band’s upcoming, still-untitled fifth studio album, which is due next year. In the meantime, the boys have been getting in shape for their new video, which requires them to wear swim trunks and nothing else!
“I’ve been lifting weights for about a month now,”; jokes Lefebvre, “(and) basically not eating.”;
And Bouvier claims he’s been on a two-week detox: “I’ve been eating only salmon.”;
Joking aside, judging by the video, it looks as if everyone in the band has been doing some serious gym time. Watch the video premiere below!
