She may be an incredibly well-known actress, but even that wasn’t enough to get January Jones a table at Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurant for her 40th birthday bash.
The “Mad Men” star, who turned the big 4-0 on January 5 this year, told Yahoo Lifestyle that she really wanted to celebrate her special day at Pump, but admitted: “No one called me back.”
Jones even said that she got her publicist and her best friend to call but to no avail.
“We called and called and called and called. It was over the holidays, but still. No one responded. One time I called, I got a girl and she’s like: ‘We’ll call you back.’ Nothing. I called back again, no response.”
Desperate to get in, Jones even said she reached out to executive producer of the “Real Housewives” Andy Cohen, who gave her the general manager’s number. However, that still didn’t help.
Despite being snubbed on several occasions, Jones insisted she got her own back in the end.
“Around New Year’s, I was going out to dinner and I said, ‘You know what, I’m going into Pump.’ I walked in there and I was like Julia Roberts in ‘Pretty Woman’. I was like, ‘Tried to call ya. Guess what — I’m not having my birthday party here. Big mistake. Big. Huge.'”
Jones eventually got their attention, admitting they offered to throw her a half-birthday party in July for free.
Jones’ comments come after Rihanna recently revealed her love for Vanderpump in an interview for the June issue of Vogue, with her gushing: “Tell me who is a badder b***h than Lisa Vanderpump! She’s goals AF!”
Jennifer Lawrence is also a huge fan.
