Updates on Joni Mitchell’s health have been few and far between since the singer suffered a brain aneurysm back in March. But on Wednesday, singer Judy Collins posted a short message to her Facebook page, telling fans that the “Big Yellow Taxi”; singer is well on her way to recovery.
“Joni is walking, talking, painting some, doing much rehab every day, and making good progress,” the post reads.
The update was accompanied by a 1969 snapshot the two recording music in a Los Angeles Studio. “Love love love her, since the first time I heard her sing “Both Sides Now”; to me,”; she reminisced. “I love Joni and her songs, and have been passionate about them since that night.”
Collins covered Mitchell’s “Both Sides, Now” back in 1967 and according to the post, the pair still share mutual friends. “I will try my best to see our songbird when I am in LA in the coming weeks,” she told fans.
Mitchell was found unconscious in her Los Angeles home in March 2015. The singer suffered from a brain aneurysm.
