The politically charged video has gone on to incredible success, garnering over 50 million views in the four days since its release, according to Billboard.

The video was the most watched on YouTube from Sunday to Tuesday, racking up 12.9 million views in its first 24 hours alone.

In “This Is America”, a shirtless and heavily bearded Gambino smiles and dances with an almost unhinged expression. He walks passed a hostage bound to a chair and suddenly shoots him through the back of the skull before placing the gun on an elegant red cloth.

Gun violence is a dominant theme in “This Is America”. In another scene Gambino guns down a choir with an assault rifle.
