Britt McHenry Says She Was Booted From ESPN ‘Because I Was White’

Former ESPN reporter Britt McHenry is playing the race card.

The journalist was let go from ESPN on April 27, 2017, as part of a 100-person layoff. She is now a contributor for The Federalist and political host for FOX 5 DC.

McHenry, 31, said, “I was demoted because I was white and made too much,” in a now-deleted tweet. The post was removed after members of the Twitterverse took shots at her reporting skills.

McHenry’s former colleague Jemele Hill chimed in, scoffing at her remarks.
