Carrie Underwood finally unveiled her brand new “Cry Pretty” music video Sunday night.
The 35-year-old, who premiered the clip during the latest episode of “American Idol”, can be seen breaking down in the vid, with her sobbing in the shower and staring at the mascara running down her cheeks in the mirror.
The video cuts between Underwood crying and her belting out the recently released song on stage.
Underwood’s latest offering is the title track taken from her upcoming sixth studio album, which is set to be released September 14. It comes after she suffered a horrific fall at the end of last year.
The country singer opened up about the incident, which left her with a broken wrist, a chipped tooth, and 40 to 50 stitches on her face, during a recent interview on “The Bobby Bones Show”.
“I just fell down. I was taking the dogs out to go do their thing and I just got clumsy and I tripped,” she explained. “I held onto the dog leashes in my left hand and went to catch myself with my right and just missed a step. There’s one lone step.”
“I thought I just busted my lip when I walked inside. I went to go survey the damage and was like, ‘Oh no!’”
