Veteran British rockers Queen and frontman Adam Lambert are coming to Las Vegas for the band’s first Sin City residency, announcing they’ll follow up their European tour this summer with a limited-engagement stay in September at the Park Theater at Park MGM in Vegas.
The band first shared the news Monday morning on social media:
The 10-day residency — titled “The Crown Jewels” — will begin on Sept. 1 and run until Sept. 22, with one of the performance dates (Saturday, Sept. 8) landing on Queen Day in Las Vegas, which former Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman officially declared back in 2004.
“We’re ready to take on the ultimate challenge … to dazzle Vegas!!” said guitarist Brian May of “The Crown Jewels” residency.
“Looking forward to rocking the Strip,” added Queen drummer Roger Taylor, who praised “the audaciously and phenomenally talented Adam Lambert.”
