Beyonce may have skipped Monday night’s Met Gala as she did the 2017 edition, but she still managed to cause a stir online during the star-studded bash when Twitter users shared snaps of the 36-year-old “arriving.”
With Monday’s theme being “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination”, some said Beyonce arrived as the “Holy Ghost,” while others simply shared shots of the empty staircase with an array of photographers still snapping away.

Monday’s much-talked-about event saw Madonna take the stage to belt out her 1989 smash hit “Like A Prayer”.
The singer turned heads in a black Jean Paul Gaultier gown, which she teamed with a matching black net veil covering her face.
In other Met Gala news, Shawn Mendes and Hailey Baldwin also made their red carpet debut together, despite keeping quiet when asked about their romance so far.
