Kevin Smith is “absolutely apologetic” about cancelling his scheduled performance in Calgary on Tuesday.

The director and podcaster was set to appear at Calgary’s MacEwan Hall for a live version of his Hollywood Babble-on podcast, co-hosted by Ralph Garman.
Unfortunately, Smith was forced to cancel the event the day of due to a “family emergency.”

Smith, who suffered a heart attack after a performance earlier this year, assured fans that the emergency is “nothing life-threatening,” and promised that the performance will be rescheduled.
In a followup tweet, Smith revealed the “family emergency” ended in a “fairly positive outcome” and that the rest of his Canadian tour dates were still on.
