The musical sequel reunites original cast members Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgard, Pierce Brosnan, Dominic Cooper, Julie Walters, and Christine Baranski, who find themselves back on an idyllic Greek island. This time around, a now-pregnant Sophie (Seyfried) is learning about her mother’s past.

Cue the flashback scenes as former “Downton Abbey” actress Lily James plays the younger version of Streep’s character, Donna, as her three father figures take Sophie on a trip down memory lane. But leave it to Cher to steal the show as Ruby, Donna’s mother and uninvited party guest who crashes the island’s fun times like only she can.

Also joining the cast for the sequel is Andy Garcia, who plays Fernando from the ABBA song of the same name.

“Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” sings its way into theatres this summer on July 20.
