‘Deadpool’ Calls Out Eurovision Song Contest For ‘Snubbing’ Canada

The merc with the mouth is coming at Eurovision “hard” for not inviting Canada to the international singing contest.

Canadian-born actor, 41, Ryan Reynolds used his “Deadpool 2” platform to promote the movie and to express his upset with the snub.

“Canada, a beautiful country steeped in rich, musical history that includes the likes of Adams, Bieber, Young, Buble, Shatner,” Deadpool tweeted. “And yet, we’ve been snubbed by that European singsong competition thing you guys lose your s**t over.”

He added, “Our generous gift of Celine Dion alone should earn us an invite.

Not only did Dion team up with the superhero for a new track for the film, but Dion has Eurovision experience, in fact, she won the competition in Switzerland way back in 1988.

“Don’t give me that crap about Canada not being part of the European family. You let in Australia and they’re barely on the planet,” Reynolds continued. “Well it stops now, Europe. You’ve awakened a sleeping moose.”

“Deadpool 2” hits theatres on May 18.
