Jennifer Garner co-hosted Ellen DeGeneres’ annual Mother’s Day episode Thursday and she had quite the surprise in store for the talk show host.
Garner, 46, who shares daughters Violet, 12, and Seraphina, 9, and son Samuel, 6, with ex-husband Ben Affleck, 45, treated DeGeneres to a little sing-song as she unveiled a hilarious music video about motherhood on the show.
The actress gushed beforehand, “I really do love being a mom, I can’t even put it into words. I love it so much that I wrote a song about it.”
Garner’s appearance also saw her speak out about being told with her eldest child that she wasn’t pregnant at first.
She explained, “I woke up that morning and I just knew. I peed on the stick and it was so faint.
“I was on my way to work and I called my doctor and said ‘Can I come in and have a proper test?’ and he was like ‘You’re not pregnant, it’s negative.’
“I said ‘I know, I’m telling you I am,’ and so she’s 12 and I don’t use that doctor anymore, but I do have her, so I won.”
Garner also said her pregnancies were pretty tough, telling the presenter when asked if she enjoyed carrying a child: “Yes, but each one I was more nauseous. Each kid I was worse and worse.”
She then joked, “I carried a baby in the back as much as I did in the front, so I’d catch myself in the mirror and be like ‘Argh, what is that? That is so big!'”
