One Direction has been forced to cancel its Belfast concert at the last minute after band member Liam Payne fell ill, and was too sick to perform, reports BBC News.
The concert’s cancellation was announced at about 9 p.m. Belfast time, mere minutes before the boys were set to hit the stage, leaving the audience shocked and disappointed.

A rep for the band issued a statement to explain the situation and apologizing to fans: “Unfortunately One Direction have had to cancel tonight’s concert in Belfast. Liam [Payne] has been taken suddenly ill, and the concert will sadly not be taking place,”; the rep said, adding: “Fans have been asked to hold on to their tickets and there will be a further statement tomorrow. The band apologizes to their fans and wish Liam well as soon as possible.”;
The boys took to Twitter to apology for the inconvenience.
