Frightened Rabbit’s lead singer Scott Hutchison has died aged 36, it’s been confirmed.
According to the BBC, Hutchison’s body was discovered at Port Edgar at a marina on the banks of the Firth of Forth between the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing at around 8.30 p.m. Thursday (3.30 p.m. ET).
The reports stated Friday that Hutchison’s family had been informed. They’ve since released a statement to say they’re “utterly devastated with the tragic loss of our beloved Scott.”

Frightened Rabbit then took to Twitter to pay a heartbreaking tribute, with them saying “there are no words to describe the overwhelming sadness and pain” that they’re currently going through.
Countless musicians also took to Instagram after hearing the news, with Frank Turner saying: “What a shining, beautiful life.” He added that Hutchison “lit up the sky with his voice, his songs and his heart.”
Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody also posted an emotional tribute message on Instagram, with him thanking the singer for bringing “light to the world.”

The tragic news comes after Frightened Rabbit took to Twitter to voice their concerns for Hutchison’s well-being earlier this week.
They said the star could possibly be in a “fragile state,” with them then taking to the social media site Thursday to post:
Hutchison hadn’t been seen since he left the Dakota Hotel in South Queensferry, Edinburgh, at 1 a.m. Wednesday (8 p.m. Tuesday ET).
The musician had sent some worrying tweets on Tuesday, with his last one reading: “I’m away now. Thanks.”
