Matt Dillon is showing a much creepier side of himself in the first trailer for “The House That Jack Built”.
The film from controversial director Lars von Trier casts Dillon as a deranged serial killer, whom the audience accompanies as he commits five murders in a kind of twisted coming-of-age story.
The trailer is strikingly set to David Bowie’s “Fame” and features graphic violence, giving a taste of what’s likely a very extreme experience of a film.
Uma Thurman, Riley Keough, and Bruno Ganz also star in the film.
“The House That Jack Built” is planned for release this fall.
The film is premiering Monday at the Cannes Film Festival — the first time von Trier has had a film there since being named persona non grata after making comments comparing himself to Hitler at the fest in 2011.
