“Star Wars” fans are gearing up for Han Solo’s origin story in “Solo: A Star Wars Story”, but they shouldn’t have to worry about any spoilers from stars Paul Bettany and Emilia Clarke – as the pair are well known for their secret keeping.
Bettany is hot off the success of “Avengers: Infinity War”, where he plays Vision, and Emilia Clarke knows a thing or two about keeping storylines under wraps from her time starring in “Game of Thrones”. But what do the pair think about having to keep details about their jobs under wraps?
“My dog knows everything,” Emilia jokes. “EVERYTHING!”
“It keeps the kids in shoes,” Bettany adds, “I’m just trying to keep my mouth shut. It becomes very easy to keep your mouth shut if you think you are going to lose your job.” To which Clarke replied, “That’s very true! Last night was such a relief because I’m finally like ‘someone else knows, okay good. Pfew’.”
The 31-year-old star is of course referring to the premiere of the film, which according to Bettany, went off without a hitch.
“Ryan Adams, song writer, who is a crazy ‘Star Wars’ nerd and aficionado was just like, ‘It’s perfect! The fans are going to love it! It’s perfect!’,” he said. Adding, “and I think it put to bed any fears that anyone had of whether Alden [Ehrenreich] could do it.”
As much as “Solo: A Star Wars Story” is a story about Han Solo’s past, it also heavily features his right hand… ahh Wookie, Chewbacca. Watch the video above to see Emilia Clarke’s impression of a Wookie, you won’t regret it.
“Solo: A Star Wars Story” hits theatres May 25.
