“Avengers: Infinity War” producer Kevin Feige has teased a new film involving Muslim superhero Ms. Marvel.
Feige explained that he wants to introduce Captain Marvel, played by Brie Larson, to the world first before anything else, but he did tell the BBC: “Ms. Marvel… is definitely sort of in the works.”
The Marvel moviemaker is currently gearing up for the release of the studio’s first female-led film “Captain Marvel” in 2019, explaining that Ms. Marvel is actually inspired by the character.
Larson will play the role of Carol Danvers in the eagerly anticipated flick.
Fans of the Ms. Marvel comic books will remember that the character’s alter-ego is Kamala Khan; a Pakistani-American teen from New Jersey.
Despite the upcoming release being a while off yet, the likes of Priyanka Chopra, who already voices the character in the mobile video game “Marvel Avengers Academy”, have already been linked to the much-talked-about role.
Unsurprisingly, the part has had quite a few people talking on social media, with some questioning whether the lead character should be played by somebody from Pakistan instead of an Indian.
