Henry Cavill is happy to have his face finally free of facial hair.
The actor, 35, grew an epic moustache for his role in “Mission: Impossible – Fallout” opposite Tom Cruise, but when reshoots were called for his other flick “Justin League”, Cavill wasn’t allowed to shave it.
Warner Bros. ended up digitally removing the stache from the superhero film’s scenes.
Finally, in March, Cavill was able to get rid of the look.
“When we decided to go for the moustache, I certainly wasn’t expecting all the events to unfold as they were going to unfold,” the “Man of Steel” actor told Empire.
“I wasn’t expecting ‘Justice League’ reshoots to be as extensive as they were,” he continued. “As you will see when [‘Mission’] comes out, to have a fake moustache on would not have been a possibility.”
Adding, “I’d grown quite fond of it over time, but I’m also very happy to have my own face back.”
“Mission: Impossible – Fallout” hits theatres July 27.
