With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding being just a few days away, Kensington Palace has now given another update on the couple’s special day.
Harry, 33, and Markle, 36, are set to tie the knot at Windsor Castle on Saturday and the Palace has now finally revealed who the duo have chosen as their six bridesmaids and four page boys.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children, Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 3, will be playing a part in the wedding, with Harry’s goddaughters Florence van Cutsem, 3, and Zalie Warren, 2 also being chosen as bridesmaids.
Markle’s godchildren Remi Litt, 6, and Rylan Litt, 7, and Harry’s godson Jasper Dyer, 6 have been chosen to walk down the aisle with them as well, with Markle also asking her best friend Jessica Mulroney’s children Ivy, 4, and twins Brian and John, 7, to join her on the day.
This is not the first time Prince George and Princess Charlotte have taken part in a huge ceremony, with them also having similar roles at their auntie Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews last May.
The Duke and Duchess’ third child, baby Louis, who was born on April 23, will not be attending the ceremony.
The latest royal wedding news comes after it was reported Tuesday that Thomas Markle may not be walking his daughter down the aisle due to him having major heart surgery on Wednesday.
The TMZ reports came a day after Kensington Palace released a statement responding to claims Thomas wouldn’t be attending the wedding, as previously stated.
A Palace spokesman said Monday: “This is a deeply personal moment for Ms. Markle in the days before her wedding. She and Prince Harry ask again for understanding and respect to be extended to Mr. Markle in this difficult situation.”
