Hilary Duff’s rep has denied claims that a physical altercation went down between the actress’ “a**hole” New York neighbour and her boyfriend Matthew Koma.
The “Younger” star, 30, is currently residing in Manhattan while shooting the hit sitcom but is having issues with her pesky neighbour who “smokes cigarettes and weed” all night.
People then reported that Duff’s neighbour allegedly called the NYPD, claiming that Koma hit him on the head. Despite authorities from the First Precinct confirming to People that police did respond to a 911 call, Duff’s rep insisted: “There was no altercation whatsoever.
“Koma went over today and asked politely yet again for [the neighbour] to take his smoking outside so as not to impact others.”
The latest claims come after Duff took to her Instagram stories to publicly call out the nuisance to her 9.2 million followers: “Calling all New Yorkers with a**hole neighbours—really open to any advice you have. My neighbour smokes cigarettes and weed all night long. My apartment reeks. Seriously, what do I do?
“We know your parents pay your rent. We know you’ve never worked a day in your life—must be nice. Have some respect for your neighbours who work hard to live in that building. Don’t be a d**k dude—and put your trash down the shoot.”
The “Lizzie McGuire” alum later found the trouble-causer on Instagram (Dieter Addison) and continuously tagged him to get his attention.
Duff, who is concerned for all her fellow building dwellers, is also looking out for son Luca, 6, who is “scared” of the loud noise coming from Addison’s apartment.
Duff shared updates with fans throughout Tuesday night but still hasn’t been able to resolve the issue.
