Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were pictured leaving Kensington Palace to head for a wedding rehearsal at Windsor Castle Thursday ahead of the eagerly anticipated ceremony on Saturday.
Meghan, 36, was seen smiling in the back of the car as the couple made their way past well-wishers. Kate Middleton, 36, and Prince William, 35, were also spotted heading to the Castle in a separate vehicle.
Meghan’s latest outing marks her first public appearance since she announced her father Thomas, 73, would no longer be walking her down the aisle.
The former “Suits” star released a statement via Kensington Palace Thursday morning, which read: “Sadly, my father will not be attending our wedding. I have always cared for my father and hope he can be given the space he needs to focus on his health.”
“I would like to thank everyone who has offered generous messages of support. Please know how much Harry and I look forward to sharing our special day with you on Saturday.”
There’s been much speculation surrounding whether or not Thomas would be attending Saturday’s event all week, with the latest suggesting he was on the mend following a successful heart operation conducted Wednesday morning.
He reportedly suffered a heart attack last week.
Thomas had expressed enthusiasm in walking his daughter down the aisle amidst an array of family drama, but the health complication ended up making that impossible.
