‘Love & Hip Hop’ Alum Teairra Mari Plans To Sue 50 Cent For Reposting Revenge Porn

Hopefully “I Get Money” rapper 50 Cent has some extra dough lying around because he might just need it.

That’s because Teairra Mari, a former member of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop”, is suing her ex-boyfriend Akbar Abdul-Ahad and 50 Cent for allegedly posting a sexually explicit video of her online.

According to Mari, her ex used her password to access her Instagram account without permission and uploaded a sex tape and other unauthorized photos. She told reporters she removed the photos and video, but not before 50 Cent reposted them to his 18 million followers.

“I’m heartbroken. I loved this man,” she said of Abdul-Ahad. “He is saying that he didn’t do it, but I know in my heart that he did. Even though I want not to believe the lies I have to stand up for myself so that that people don’t believe that I did it.”

In 2015, 50 Cent was ordered to pay $7 million for posting a revenge porn sex tape on social media, which is what motivated Mari to pursue legal action. “And still he thinks it is great to do this,” Mari’s attorney, Lisa Bloom said. “That is what really shocks me.”

California passed a law in 2013 making it illegal to post nude or sexual images with the intent of causing emotional distress.
