Shawn Mendes treated fans to a very special performance Thursday night as he was joined on stage by John Mayer to belt out his brand new single “Where Were You in the Morning?”
Mendes, 19, livestreamed his latest gig on YouTube, which took place at the Ford Theatres in Hollywood, California, with him giving fans a sneak preview of tracks from his upcoming self-titled studio album.
The “Shawn One Night Only” show, which will also air on Apple Music starting May 18, includes a Q&A session with Zane Lowe.

The Canadian singer’s latest show comes after he discussed his awkward run-ins with the royals during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”.
DeGeneres, 60, quizzed him about performing at the Queen’s 92nd birthday concert recently, before he cringed and said he saw Her Majesty backstage but there was “ten minutes of awkward silence.”
Mendes also said that he got the opportunity to meet Prince Harry and Meghan Markle but he blew it.
“I was walking down the halls, and I see them in one room. And they’re just talking… and I walked in with this confidence and the second they kind of felt me coming, I just turned around. My body went numb and I was like, ‘I can’t do it, I can’t do it.’”
