Plan B Entertainment has released a first look at the movie, based on author David Sheff’s experiences with his own son. Steve Carrell stars as Sheff, the father of struggling methamphetamine addict Nic.

“I’m attracted to craziness and you’re just embarrassed because I was like, this amazing thing, like your special creation or something and you don’t like who I am now,” Chalamet says in the preview before the trailer cuts to shots of him popping pills.

Chalamet’s character is depicted as a young man living a seemingly normal suburban existence before his life is derailed by drugs and documents his subsequent recovery.
