The Royal Wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has been covered by numerous television outlets, but it’s a safe bet that no coverage offered the hilarious weirdness as that offered by HBO, featuring the dubious insights of Pasadena morning show hosts Cord Hosenbeck and Tish Cattigan, a.k.a. former “Saturday Night Live” cast mates Will Ferrell and Molly Shannon.

During the broadcast, the dippy duo were joined by fellow “SNL” alums Tim Meadows (as himself) and Kristen Wiig, who portrayed faux royal expert and author Sir Albert Langham-Kingsley.

Cord and Tish — last seen putting their own bizarre spin on Pasadena’s Rose Parade — hilariously demonstrated their utter lack of knowledge about British royalty, reporting that the Queen arrived at the church in a Hyundai and that the first-ever wedding between a British man and an American woman was when Gwyneth Paltrow married the lead singer from “Coldcuts.”

However, the pair completely lost it when Harry and Meghan kissed at the culmination of the ceremony, leading to their best rendition of the Kay Jewelers jingle:

Another wacky moment came when Cord described “Suits”, the legal drama in which Markle previously starred, as “a show that goes behind the scenes of the high-stakes world of quality menswear, where egos are high and thread counts are higher. It’s a world of intrigue and high fashion where everyone wears a suit.”

Viewers of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” received a sneak peek at Cord and Tish’s shtick when they debuted a special song for the bride and groom. Watch:
