While there was much oohing and ahhing on social media about the stunning wedding gown worn by Meghan Markle on her big day, when it comes to Internet searches, the Duchess of Sussex has nothing on Amal Clooney.
According to statistics provided by Lyst, a global fashion search engine, the canary-yellow Stella McCartney dress worn by the human rights lawyer was the most-searched garment worn at the royal wedding.
In fact, more than 17,000 people from 65 different countries have searched for info on Clooney’s dress since Saturday, increasing search traffic on Lyst by a whopping 3,000 per cent compared to the previous day. In addition, searches for “yellow dress” increased by 1,500 per cent over the previous week.
Also heavily searched were the floral Erdem dress worn by actress Carey Mulligan — which was the second most-searched garment — and Serena Williams’ Valentino gown, which came in at #3.
