Ariana Grande isn’t letting anyone make her responsible for her ex’s troubles.
The “Side to Side” singer broke up with rapper Mac Miller earlier this month. Miller later got into a car accident and was charged with driving under the influence.
On Monday, a fan tweeted in support of Miller, calling his situation “heartbreaking” and implying Grande was the cause of the rapper’s downturn.
Grande wasn’t having any of it, and on Wednesday she tweeted a lengthy response, describing her relationship with Miller as “toxic” and saying, “I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be.
The Twitter user responded with an apology. “I’m very sorry I hurt you and I’m sorry you feel my tweet stigmatizes women for ending a toxic relationship that wasn’t my intention at all.”
