During last night’s episode of The Walking Dead, AMC gave viewers a sneak-peek trailer for its upcoming series, Preacher.
Based on a cult comic book, this action-packed series from producer Seth Rogen, Preacher follows small-town preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), who is on a mission to find God himself. Along the way he teams up with his ex-girlfriend (Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire (Joe Gilgun), with this unlikely trio working together to face down the agents of Heaven and Hell.

“We’ve tried for seven years to work on Preacher and we’re so psyched AMC is finally letting us,”; said exec producer Rogen and writing partner Evan Goldberg in a statement. “It is our favorite comic of all time, and we’re going to do everything we can to do it right.”;
Preacher is set to debut sometime in 2016.
