Rick Campanelli’s West Coast Trip: Full of Firsts

My trip out west for ET Canada goes west has been one filled with firsts.

Rick’s first time flying a sea plane took him from Vancouver to Victoria!

I got to co-pilot a sea plane from Vancouver to Victoria thanks to Harbour Air, and took my first white water rafting trip in Squamish with Twilight star Swo-wo Gabriel!  It was also my first time seeing Orca whales which I did  with silver medal Olympian and rower Dave Calder.

And the Olympians didn’t stop there!  I got to try my hand at paddle boarding in the cold waters of the Pacific Ocean with Simon Whitfield who won gold in the Olympic triathlon . Gold medal winner and beer pitcher guzzler Jon Montgomery showed me how to slide in style at the Whistler Sliding Centre and Ashleigh McIvor gave me some snowboarding tips.

Thank goodness for the Olympic gold medalist in skiing and Nora the avalanche rescue dog or else I’d still be up there!  As you’ll see on the show tonight my west coast adventures finished with another first – being buried alive on Whistler mountain!

What an absolute amazing time I had on the west coast with so many items crossed off my bucket list… Thanks British Columbia for an incredible week!  Watch ET Canada tonight at 7:30 pm ET for our last day broadcasting from the west coast!
