Fans won’t be the only ones to have had an emotional breakdown from the ultimate end to “Game of Thrones”.
Leading actress Emilia Clarke opened up about the emotional weight of filming the final season of “GoT” while promoting “Solo: A Star Wars Story” on “Good Morning America”.
“It really is the most heartbreaking thing to be filming the last of anything,” Clarke confessed. “I’ve become an emotional wreck on set. They’re like, ‘Emilia… it’s okay,’ and I’m like, ‘But it’s the last time!’”
She also cryptically teased the weight of Daenerys’ actions in the finale of HBO’s behemoth show, saying it really “f**ked me up… knowing that is going to be a lasting flavour in someone’s mouth of what Daenerys is.”
The eighth and final season of “Game of Thrones” premieres in 2019 and will conclude inside six episodes.
Clarke, 31, can be seen in theatres now alongside Donald Glover, Alden Ehrenreich, and Woody Harrelson in “Solo: A Star Wars Story”.
