Taylor Swift sure knows how to take an unexpected comment and “Shake It Off”.
After performing a six-song set at BBC’s Biggest Weekend in Swansea, England, radio DJ Greg James told a sweaty Swift, 28, that she may be “in need of a shower.”
However, his comments didn’t go down well at all in the online world, with countless fans taking to Twitter to slam the presenter.
James has now responded to the criticism, replying to a fan who pointed out he was joking: “She really is right. TS has a great sense of humour and we have known each other for ages and had a good catch up after the interview. It’s all cool.
“It was hot up there. I almost said we should both go for a shower but after this reaction I’m glad I didn’t! X”
James’ comments come after he jokingly told the Grammy-Award winning artist almost immediately after she came offstage: “I think you need to have a shower now.”
“I’m not offended that you said that. There’s a lot going on and none of it’s good here,” the musician agreed.

Although the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer seemingly had no issue with his statement, many fans on social media were thoroughly turned off by James’ comment.
