An estimated 100 protestors delivered a package to Saturday Night Live executive producer Lorne Michaels, containing a petition bearing the signatures of 522,080 people who are asking Michaels to dis-invite Donald Trump from hosting the comedy show this Saturday evening.

The protesters set up shop outside NBC’s 30 Rock headquarters, reports Deadline, chanting loudly and passing out flyers, ultimately receiving the media attention they were seeking.

“We object to it, we object to it dearly as a result of the fact that he is a racist,” explained Alexander Nogales, president and CEO of the National Hispanic Media Coalition, who organized the protest. “The problem is that Saturday Night Live is not a news organization, it is  a cultural pop giant, and by having him on and “ha ha ha’ and “hee hee hee,’ all they’re doing is legitimatizing his views. We object to this…The Latino community is uniformly against him doing this.”

Victor Javier Solano, a prominent figure within the journalism community, made sure to give his opinion on the matter, calling NBC hypocritical. “We do believe NBC is being hypocritical in having Trump on Saturday Night Live,”; he said. “It’s all about ratings, and money.”

There has been no response from NBC just yet, and the protestesters have made it clear that they will be returning — live from New York on Saturday night.
