The Queen has a never-before-seen framed photograph of Prince Harry and his new wife Meghan Markle resting on a side table at her Buckingham Palace home.
Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, could be seen cozying up in the adorable snap, which was clearly visible during Her Majesty’s meeting with George Brandis, the Australian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, on Wednesday.
The photo comes after the newly crowned Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot on May 19 at Windsor Castle, with millions tuning in around the world to watch the historic royal wedding.
Markle walked down the aisle in a stunning Givenchy gown and the Queen’s diamond bandeau tiara.
Upon closer inspection of the photo, Hello! magazine reports that the Duchess of Sussex appears to be wearing a dress by Roland Mouret, one of her favourite designers.
The best guess about the dress is that its the designer’s “Royston Dress,” which may have been specially customized for Markle.
Instagram fan account harry_meghan_updates offered a side-by-side comparison of the original image and a photo of Mouret’s creation, writing: “The guess of the day: Meghan’s dress in the new portrait seen in the Queen’s Audience Room of Buckingham Palace is by Roland Mouret for 888 USD.”
It was reported earlier this week that the newlyweds may be heading to Fairmont Jasper Park in Alberta on their royal honeymoon.
However, a spokesperson for the resort has since confirmed to ET Canada that this sadly will not be the case.
They shared, “Though Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has a longstanding history of serving as a royal retreat, we can confirm that the couple is not currently booked for a stay.”
“We are declining further comment at this time, as our top priority is always the safety and privacy of all of our guests. We appreciate your understanding.”
